Important information before booking

This tour does not involve physical activity; however, sea conditions may vary, and boat movement can occasionally be uncomfortable depending on weather and ocean conditions.

Meeting point: Our office in Punta de Mita. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Transportation is not included.

Pregnant guests are welcome to join the tour, but participation is not recommended depending on the stage of pregnancy and personal sensitivity to boat motion. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policies

• Free cancellations are available only if requested at least 24 hours before the tour starts, based on Punta de Mita local time.
• Tours may be rescheduled once or transferred to a family member, friend, or another person, subject to availability.
• Once a new date has been confirmed, no additional changes will be allowed.
• If a reservation is postponed to a later date, the free cancellation deadline will remain based on the original booking date. If the tour is moved to an earlier date, the cancellation deadline will be adjusted accordingly, while always requiring at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Within 24 hours of the tour, refunds will not be issued for personal circumstances, including illness, accidents, travel delays, missed flights, or any other inability to attend. Exceptions may only be considered in extraordinary situations of international scope.
• Guests who fail to show up on the day of the tour or arrive after the boat has departed will be considered a “no-show” and will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. If availability allows, Grimar Adventures may offer a later departure time.
• The original booking price will remain unchanged, even if the reservation is rescheduled to a date with different rates.
• The number of guests included in the reservation may be modified within the allowed time frame. For shared tours, additional charges or refunds may apply depending on the number of guests. For private tours, modifications may be made at no extra cost, provided that the maximum capacity of the reserved vessel is not exceeded.
• Reservations may be transferred to another person at any time, provided that the new guest presents the booking holder’s name and reservation number. The new guest will automatically be subject to the same terms and restrictions.

Refund Policy

• Refunds apply only when the tour cannot operate due to an internal operational issue.
• Refunds also apply when port authorities, the captain, or Grimar Adventures determine that weather or sea conditions make the activity unsafe or impossible to operate.
• Rain alone is not considered a valid reason for cancellation.
• Refunds within 24 hours of the tour may only be authorized by Grimar Adventures.
• The itinerary may be modified due to operational or weather conditions without automatically entitling guests to a refund.
• Whale sightings depend on the animals’ natural behavior; therefore, the number of sightings, their proximity, and the duration of each encounter cannot be guaranteed.
• However, if no whales are sighted during the tour, Grimar Adventures will issue a 100% refund of the tour price.
• The determination of whether a whale sighting occurred rests solely with the captain and Grimar Adventures.
• If the tour has already started and must be interrupted, any refund will be determined exclusively by Grimar Adventures.
